The Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette had admitted that they are expected to make more mistakes in coming days as the players are still in learning phase under Unai Emery.
Lacazette was speaking after scoring the winning goal after his team’s trip to Cardiff in which Arsenal expressed similar weakness under their former manager Arsene Wenger. The Gunners were heading towards a draw against Cardiff, a team which failed to open an account in their last Premier League outing. Cardiff came back from behind twice as Arsenal continued to struggle in away games.
The French Striker, didn’t deny that his team had problems but insisted that his team will improve a lot under Unai Emery. “It was a good game but we made a lot of mistakes. The mistake are going to continue because we are learning like children. We will better week after week.” Lacazette had stressed his team’s poor away record in which they had managed two wins in 2018 but hoped that the win against Cardiff is first of many to come.
Lacazette also underline the need of having right mentality ” You see last season we lost these kind of games, But today after the equaliser we had the confidence to comeback”. “It’s always good to get rid of the mental barrier, like when we started the game, we thought that we will play it like we do at home.”
Lacazette belives that his team is bouncing back under Unai Emery as their two losses were against the Champions (Manchester City, Chelsea) of last two seasons. Lacazette is speaks very high of his new partnership with Aubamenyang “We compliment each other’s game, It was good for him to score against Cardiff. The game against Chelsea was very tough for him as he missed some chances, but he has got over it.” concluded Lacazette.
