With the ace forward Luis Suarez is expected to reach his twilight in coming years, Barcelona are in the transfer market to find a replacement for him. The Spanish champions are now rumored scouting Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek.
The Polish forward is dubbed as the new Lewandowski and had already notched up 32 goals in 65 games for the Polish team Cracovia, before sealing his move to Italian outfit Genoa. Barcelona are impressed with the Krzysztof Piatek’s start for Genoa in which he scored 3 goals in two matches and also bagged an assist in his kitty.
Paco Alcacer’s departure to Dortmund had definitely added a good amount fuel to this transfer rumor because the blaugrana’s are very much short of options in center-forward position. Although, Lionel Messi can step-up in Suarez’s absence, it is not something that Valverde would like to do given his Captain’s play-making ability which is very crucial for Barcelona’s playing style.
If everything goes well, Barcelona are expected to make a bid for Krzysztof Piatek during the January window.
